Zuerst wieder mit dem Flieger, diesmal nach Halifax, und dann per\u00a0Mietauto nach <em>Lunenburg<\/em>, an der Ostk\u00fcste von <em>Nova Scotia<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Lunenburg<\/em> liegt an einem fantastischen Naturhafen und ist ein bezauberndes, sehr buntes St\u00e4dtchen mit viel Charme, Kultur und Geschichte. Mitte des 18ten Jahrhunderts wurde es vorwiegend von Schweizern und Deutschen gegr\u00fcndet. Von diesen Vorfahren\u00a0merkt man allerdings\u00a0kaum\u00a0mehr etwas, ausser vielleicht, dass alles sehr sauber und gepflegt ist, fast wie im Appenzellerland. <em>Lunenburg<\/em> wurde nach den am Reisbrett entwickelten Pl\u00e4nen der Kolonialmacht schachbrettartig angelegt. Deshalb sind auch einige Strassen sehr, sehr steil &#8230; ja ja die Schreibtischt\u00e4ter, keine Ahnung vom Gel\u00e4nde, aber genau wissen wie es funktionieren soll &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Es ist erstaunlich, wie viel Geschichte es hier gibt. Normalerweise sind die Kanadier schon stolz wenn sie ein Geb\u00e4ude in gut erhaltenem Zustand pr\u00e4sentieren k\u00f6nnen, welches vielleicht knapp 100 Jahre \u00fcberlebt hat. Viele der Holzh\u00e4user hier in der Altstadt stammen noch aus dem 18. und 19. Jahrhundert und befinden sich in erstaunlich gutem baulichen Zustand. Das Schmuckst\u00fcck\u00a0<em>Lunenburg<\/em> wurde \u00fcbrigens\u00a0zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe erkl\u00e4rt.<\/p>\n<p>Zum Nachtessen gibt es einen frischen, ganzen Hummer.
